The way things go

May 18, 2010

Always good news and bad news – that’s how things go. I’ve had a little of both today.

The Bad News:
The high winds in Charleston yesterday threw something through the sliding door at our house there…the same day the renters moved in, but they weren’t there when it happened. Thank goodness our property managers are amazing, and when they called us, they already had 2 quotes for a new door and just needed our authorization to have it installed ASAP.
The Good News:
Howdy went to work today, and at least 15 squadron members live on our street or the adjacent street. (For all you Charleston people – apparently this is the Wescott of Alaska)

Hooray for having your “instant AF friends” right there in your neighborhood! That will be so nice, as I’m sure your new friends there will be wonderful. What neighborhood/area did you guys choose?

What flew through your window that caused it to BREAK? Holy cow that really must have been some intense wind!!! No good! I am glad you have a good management company though.

They can’t seem to figure that out – but according to the glass company, it could have been something as small as an acorn if it was the right velocity, angle and/or location on the glass. 😦
