Driving to Alaska: Intermission

May 10, 2010

We made it to Anchorage!! 7.5 days, 4615 miles, 2 countries- 10 states, 4 provinces- 1 truck with vehicle trailer, 1 UHAUL, 4 adults, and 2 dogs- whew! Now we just have to move in!

I know I promised the details from Day 7, and pictures today – but we decided to drive the last 13 and a half hours and just get here. So we are here, but we’re exhausted! The pictures are going to have to wait another day – the good news is that I did upload them to the computer (finally), so I should be able to shrink them to blog-size, and post them in the next day or two (depending on how the internet situation plays out). I know I’ve been putting you all off for a few days, so thanks for waiting! 🙂

For now, I’m headed to bed (and we might try to see how many of us we can fit into a teeny tiny bed):

Whew…I’m tired just reading about your adventure! That is a LONG drive, so glad you finally made it. I’m sure you were both so relieved and overjoyed to cross into Anchorage…your new home! 🙂 Congrats!

Wow. That is a hell of a ride. I do not think I’ll be driving up to visit you. Congrats on the new adventure 🙂
