Book Review: The Last Oracle

August 15, 2009

I started reading The Last Oracle by James Rollins during my commute on the EL in Chicago this past week, and finished it on my flight back to Charleston. This is the 5th book in the Sigma Force series by Rollins. I have read them all and really enjoy them.  His suspenseful plots have unexpected twists and a lot of historical influence intertwined with military and science elements. In this particular book, the Sigma Force, led by Commander Gray Pierce, is searching for the link between the ancient Oracle of Delphi, a man who is murdered by a sniper right in front of Pierce, and a little girl who mysteriously sketches pictures revealing information she could not possibly know. Their search takes them to Washington D.C., India and Russia as they try to outrun rouge militant groups from several countries in an effort to save us all from a plot that would use a special group of children to take over the world.

Landed here from the Related Links section on my blog. Nice review of this book. I just read Black Order, and thought it pretty decent too. Will definitely be reading more of his Sigma Force novels
